James Long Hale is an avid amateur golfer who freely gives and gets Mulligans, understates his handicap, and desperately needs the proceeds from this book to cover his losses. He owns seven drivers, five putters, and his widow enjoys gardening.
Hale's affection for Golf and Light Verse began when his Dad introduced him at a young age to the Game and the comedic poetry stylings of Stanley Holloway. He
is a graduate of Philips Exeter Academy, Dartmouth College (where he studied poetry under Richard Eberhardt), and Syracuse University College of Law.
Hale's essays and poems have appeared in various professional and literary journals and anthologies.
